About the event
Please join us in a day of remembrance this October by honoring our firstborn son, Brooks, and every baby we hold in our hearts instead of in our arms. October 15th is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day and our hope is to create a wave of light across the nation to honor our angel babies. We have created options for those who live locally as well as remotely.
For those who live local to the North GA area and would like to participate in the National Wave of Light, we will be selling luminary kits at the Sterling on The Lake clubhouse for $15 each from September 23rd-October 7th. You may come by the clubhouse Monday-Friday 9am-5pm to purchase your kit. We ask everyone to please join us in lighting and setting up the luminaries along your driveways at 7PM on October 15th. Please note the last day to sign up for a luminary kit is October 7th. This is to ensure we prepare enough luminary kits in time as this year we will be hand delivering the kits to each household that signs up on the weekend of October 12th. Payment for your luminary kit will be due upon signup (cash & checks only). 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the NICU at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
By having the luminaries lit for one hour in each time zone, we will be creating a wave of light across the nation to honor all angel babies.
***For those who live remotely, we ask that you please light a candle at 7PM on October 15th and if you feel comfortable doing so, sending us a picture of your lit candle. If you live remotely and would like to purchase a luminary kit or multiple luminary kits, please contact us directly at MelissaJohnson7582@gmail.com and we would love to assist you further.
Please feel free to share your pictures with us during this event via email (melissajohnson7582@gmail.com), text, or social media platforms. We appreciate your support in honoring our son, Brooks Preston, and spreading awareness for Pregnancy and Infant Loss this October.
