About the event

Please join us in a day of remembrance this October by honoring our son, Brooks, and all babies who gained their angel wings much too soon. October 15th is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day and our hope is to create a wave of light across the nation to honor our babies. We have created options for those who live locally as well as remotely.

For those who live local to the North GA area, to participate in the National Wave of Light, we will be selling luminary kits at the Sterling on The Lake clubhouse for $15 each and setting up the luminaries along our driveways at 7PM (EST) on this day. Please note the last day to sign up for a luminary kit is October 1st. This is to ensure we prepare enough luminary kits in time for pickup which will be held from October 2-13th. Payment for your luminary kit will be upon pickup (checks only). 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the NICU at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

By having the luminaries lit for one hour in each time zone, we will be creating a wave of light across the nation to honor all angel babies. We have created a Sign Up Genius for those wishing to purchase a luminary kit.

***For those who live remotely, we please ask that you register for the "Walk to Remember" event (registration is free). You will receive a candle in your box after registering. We ask you please light this candle at 7PM EST and leave your candle lit for one hour. If you feel comfortable doing so, please share a picture of your lit candle and use the hashtag #babybrookslight.

Please feel free to share your pictures with us during this event via email (, text, or social media platforms. We appreciate your support in honoring our son, Brooks Preston, and spreading awareness for Pregnancy and Infant Loss this October.
